The voice of my suffering

Next exhibition: Biel, 30 October - 3 November
Christiana, 26
Ali, 20

Why this project?

More than 65 million people are on the move worldwide. With our interactive exhibition we want to give a face to these people, and in particular two very personal stories.

Christianas journey

My name is Christiana and I am from Nigeria. I fled for the first time from Nigeria to Libya, where my husband almost died in the desert. Three years later, when I was 8 months pregnant, the Libyan civil war forced us to leave for Italy on a small boat.

„Our peaceful life turned into daily fear and violence“

Alis journey

My name is Ali and at the age of 18 I fled from Afghanistan to Iran with my father because of the Taliban. But even in Iran it was not safe. We decided to flee to Europe. Our paths separated during the journey and until today I still don’t know what happened to my father.

„My past is a constant burden on my present. In my mind, I replay my journey and all the suffering I endured every day“
